Child Melanoma on the Rise

COPPERTONE LOSYON SPF 50

Recent reports show that cancerous melanoma is on the rise in children. Has the sun gotten stronger? No. Is there more daylight than there has been in past years? No. Do children play more outside? Yeah, right. Are more UV rays getting to the earth? Possible. But if children are not out playing ....

Is it possible that after years of using sunscreens on children that the chemical bath is adding to this problem?

Is Your Sunscreen Causing Cancer?

The majority of sunscreens on the market today are more harmful than beneficial. Sunscreens are designed to decrease your risk of skin cancer and allow you to enjoy the sun without worry. Unfortunately, most modern day sunscreens may increase your risk of cancer and disrupt the functioning of your hormones.

There are alternatives to chemical paste. Here's a link to one possible recipe. http://wellnessmama.com/2558/homemade-sunscreen/

Bottom line: Use your head. Harsh chemicals on children's' skin for an entire summer, after summer, after summer, simply does not sound healthy.
